Life happens, we get busy and then you realise you need your 2 day Outdoor First Aid NOW!
We can help.
Take a deep breath….
In an emergency we do courses 1:1 if we have space in the diary and you can make it to Fort William. We’d rather you came on a ‘open course’, but if we have space we will try to help.
We still focus on qaulity by using a lot of video feedback to give a solid set of skills and getting in extra people for ‘spinal log roles’. The course will be delivered outside under a tarp in our local community woodland.
Currently we charge £450 per day for a course to your group, plus £15 per person for registration and certification. For an ‘I need it now’ course we will only charge £149 per day. So a 2 day Outdoor First Aid 1:1 would be £298, a lot less than the £900 we charge for most groups!
You can understand that the ‘need it now’ course is our way to help people rather than a standard part of our businesss model.

How do I choose the right first aid course?
If you are an employer or manager your risk assessment should help indicate what is the most suitable first aid course for your level of risk.
Health & Safety Executive (HSE) produce clear and straightforward advice. Look at these links http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/legislation.htm
And this great free download from HSE

How do I know that Highland First Aid is offering appropriate first aid training?
It’s important to check the training you need meets the requirements of ‘due diligence’ that employers have to carry out before selecting a course. At Highland First Aid we have made that easy:

- The qualifications we offer are accredited by Scottish Qualification Authority sqa.org.uk
- So our courses are externally verified for compliance and quality
- Our trainers are all qualified
- Our trainers all have Advanced First Aid qualifications
- Trainers carry out regular professional development and first aid refreshers
- We work with ITC First itcfirst.org.uk to provide another layer of verification, observations and professional development
You can find more advice in HSE’s information sheet GEIS3 Selecting a first-aid training provider: A guide for employers (www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/geis3.htm)
